Cyril Lumboy is an Asian street fashion designer originally based in the Philippines. Now U.S.-based, she is known on the internet as dolldelight (fb.com/dolldelightpage) and has established that as her own brand. She began sewing four years ago starting with headpieces and eventually moving on to making her own dresses. Her work as a designer is now focused on wa-lolita and punk lolita as they are the substyles that best allow her to experiment in the art of mixing prints.
Since her appearance at Pacific Media Expo in 2011, dolldelight has been featured in Los Angeles’s International TV network LA18, KTLA 5 Los Angeles, and has made numerous appearances in other conventions and events by providing solo fashion shows. She modeled her dresses at the Asian American Expo in Pomona, the Monterey Park Cherry Blossom Festival, and FIDM in Irvine. At Anime Matsuri in Houston, TX, she was chosen to be a model for the prestigious Japanese lolita fashion brand Baby the Stars Shine Bright and hosted their tea parties as well. dolldelight was also Anime Expo’s first ever Fashion Guest of Honor in 2012 in which she headlined for a 2000-seat, fully packed, auditorium.
